Solargil glass mosaics are manufactured in a traditional way.

The glass is colored by metallic oxides.

It is then poached with a ladle at 1200°C and poured into a rolling mill, a kind of waffle iron.

The glass paste will take its shape around 900°C when it cools.

The tesserae separate naturally from each other.

Thanks to this traditional manufacturing process, Solargil glass pastes are recognizable by their mineral aspect and irregularity.
